Position Overview:

The Biochemist I will work independently in the laboratory, focusing on conjugation processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to protocols, and the ability to meet productivity goals. Reporting to the immediate supervisor, the Biochemist I will assist with daily lab operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality results. Collaboration and teamwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Conjugation & Lab Work:

  • Perform various conjugation formats accurately and independently.
  • Maintain consistency in technique, documentation, labeling, and data entry.
  • Ensure production specifications are met while adhering to deadlines.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Understand key chemistry concepts through training and research.
  • Review and address issues in batch records and documentation.
  • Follow all departmental guidelines and procedures.

Safety & Lab Maintenance:

  • Promote a safe work environment and participate in EHS programs.
  • Report any hazards or unsafe work practices.
  • Assist with lab supply orders, reagent preparations, and equipment maintenance.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties assigned by the supervisor and trainer.
  • Adapt to changing lab needs and priorities as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Scientific Knowledge: General understanding of Biology, Biochemistry, or related fields.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with routine lab instruments and software.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with effective troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and logs.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and meet deadlines effectively.
