EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in related field or 4 years of equivalent applicable work experience
1-2 years help desk experience
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Position Summary
Provide database administration and user support and customer service on company-supported computer applications and platforms. Maintain, troubleshoot, and support workstations and applications in a multi-location networked environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Database Administration Functions:
- Monitor database performance, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Execute database backups and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues, including query optimization, data corruption, and access control problems.
- Implement database schema changes and updates as required.
- Manage database user accounts and permissions.
- Analyze database usage patterns and identify potential optimization opportunities.
- Work with application developers to resolve database-related issues within applications.
- Help Desk Functions:
- Answer user inquiries regarding hardware, software, network connectivity, and application usage.
- Troubleshoot basic computer problems, including password resets, application errors, and printer issues.
- Log and track user tickets within a ticketing system, prioritizing issues based on severity.
- Provide remote support to users through tools like remote desktop access.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Maintain user documentation and knowledge base.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in related field or 4 years of equivalent applicable work experience
- 1-2 years Help Desk / DBA experience
- Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel
- Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, networks and related hardware and software.
- Working knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques.
- Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support
- Knowledge and experience with customer service practices
