Business Analyst
Texas GovLink is an Austin-based firm and premier provider of technical and business staffing solutions for the State of Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to be a key resource on a technical services team for our client, Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
**Location: Remote.**
Responsibilities
The Worker(s) will provide the following services:
Review, analyze, evaluates and document business processes and user needs as a member of the information Technology (IT) Project Management Office (PMO), supporting one or more projects concurrently. Assist with business process reengineering. Familiar with industry standard business process mapping and reengineering. Prepare solution options, identifies risks, and performs other analyses as needed. Write detailed description of business processes and steps required to develop or modify processes. Effectively plan and facilitate meetings and organize process mapping documentation. Work in a highly collaborative environment. Provide technical assistance to Project Managers by documenting and mapping current and future business processes due to the changes needed for a large-scale system replacement effort. Work with project managers and business users to reengineer processes. Identify changes needed to business processes and work with business users to prepare solution options, identify risks, and other analyses as required. Write detailed description of business processes to include steps required to develop or modify processes for daily business activities. Plan and facilitate meetings and follow up on action items. Organize business process mapping documentation. Provide detailed updates to project managers or other stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 4-7 years experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs
- 4-7 years of thorough understanding of the business analysis areas of knowledge and its associated activities and tasks
- 4-7 years of extensive skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy
- 4-7 years of providing technical assistance to Project Managers by documenting and mapping current and future business processes due to the changes needed for a large-scale system replacement effort
- 4-7 years of working with project managers and business users to reengineer processes
- 4-7 years of identifying changes needed to business processes and work with business users to prepare solution options, identify risks, and other analyses as required
- 4-7 years of written detailed description of business processes to include steps required to develop or modify processes for daily business activities
- 4-7 years of plan and facilitate meetings and follow up on action items
- 4-7 years of organized business process mapping documentation
- 4-7 years of provided detail updates to project managers or other stakeholders
Preferred:
- 2 years of State of Texas experience
- 2 years of Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) experience
- 2 years of SharePoint
- 3 years of Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) / Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System for Texas (CAPPS)
- Texas Workforce Commission experience
