Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Short Hills, NJ that is seeking a Network Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Architect and implement secure network designs leveraging Prisma security features within a hybrid cloud environment (on-premise and cloud)
* The Network Engineer will configure and manage network devices like routers, switches, firewalls (particularly Palo Alto Networks firewalls) with Prisma integration
* Implement network segmentation and access controls to isolate sensitive data and systems
* Develop and enforce security policies within Prisma to detect and prevent advanced threats across the network perimeter
* Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity using Prisma's threat intelligence and analytics capabilities
* Implement security measures like intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and application control using Prisma features
* Investigate and respond to security incidents identified by Prisma, coordinating with the security team to contain and remediate threats
* Analyze network traffic patterns and identify potential security vulnerabilities using Prisma tools
* Monitor network performance and identify bottlenecks to optimize network efficiency
* Analyze network traffic patterns and implement adjustments to optimize network bandwidth and latency
* The Network Engineer will integrate Prisma security solutions with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform to ensure consistent security across environments
* Manage network connectivity and security policies for cloud-based applications and services

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, VPN)
* Expertise in Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Prisma security suite
* Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (AWS VPC, Azure VNets)
* Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
* Knowledge of security concepts like threat intelligence, intrusion detection/prevention, and application security
* Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python) preferred
* Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
