Location: Albany, NY Hybrid at least 50% onsite
Duration: 6-12 Months contract
The Agile Project Manager will be responsible for guiding and supporting cross-functional teams in the successful delivery of parallel sprints, ensuring
alignment with Program goals and stakeholder expectations.
Job Duties:
The Agile Project Manager will:
  • Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Remove impediments to team progress and ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with teams to plan and prioritize tasks for each Sprint based on project goals and business requirements.
  • Coordinate release planning activities to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Monitor and track key agile metrics, including velocity, burndown charts, and other relevant performance indicators.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project progress, impediments, and potential risks.
  • Proactively identify and assess potential risks to the Program.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and address issues promptly.
  • Facilitate communication between development teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with Program goals.
  • Foster collaboration across departments and teams to enhance overall project efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the business owner to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and priorities.
  • Encourage and support self-organizing teams, fostering a collaborative and empowered work environment.
  • Motivate team members and promote a positive team culture.
  • Conduct regular retrospectives to reflect on team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance processes, team dynamics, and overall project efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to team members on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks.
  • Offer guidance and coaching to enhance the understanding and application of Agile methodologies.
  • Embrace and facilitate change within the project, adapting plans and processes as necessary.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in responding to evolving requirements and priorities.
Deliverables:
  • Project Management artifacts such as project scope, project schedules, JIRA or Miro board.
Reports and presentations on analyses such as
  • Biweekly status reports
  • Periodic reports on key agile project metrics, including velocity, burndown charts, and other relevant performance indicators
  • Documentation of Lessons Learned from sprint retrospectives
  • Data to build report outs to Steering Committee
