Job Description:

The Network Automation Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain automation solutions for network environments. This includes setting up CI/CD pipelines, containerization, scripting, and leveraging orchestration tools to enhance system performance and deployment efficiency. The role also involves monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems while ensuring adherence to best practices and customer KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Analysis: Understand customer requirements and project KPIs to align automation efforts with business goals.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Tekton, or similar to enable seamless integration and deployment for network automation projects.
  • Version Control: Perform code versioning using source code management tools such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
  • Containerization and Deployment: Deploy microservices using containerization platforms like Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.
  • Automation and Scripting: Utilize automation tools like Ansible and scripting languages such as Python, Unix Shell, and Bash to streamline processes.
  • Log Analysis: Use log analysis tools like Splunk to monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system logs and application events.
  • Network Orchestration: Apply knowledge of networking and service orchestration to support project requirements.
  • Production Deployments: Perform deployments in production environments, ensuring high availability and system reliability.
  • Process Optimization: Monitor lifecycle processes for adherence and introduce process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Manage periodic reporting on project progress and ensure clear communication with management and customers.
  • Cloud Integration: (Preferred) Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure for hybrid cloud networking solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • Hands-on experience in CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance.
    • Proficiency in using containerization platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
    • Strong expertise in scripting with Python, Unix Shell, and Bash.
    • Experience with automation tools like Ansible.
    • Knowledge of log analysis tools such as Splunk.
    • Solid understanding of networking and service orchestration principles.
  • Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
