JOB SUMMARY

The Business Analyst II, Oracle Optimization, reports directly to the Program Manager Revenue. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation and continuous improvement of our Oracle ERP functionalities, with a focus on accounting, capital budgeting, asset management, risk, supply chain, and human resources capabilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

System Analysis and Optimization:

  • Analyze existing Oracle ERP functionalities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with business units to streamline processes and enhance system efficiency.
  • Implement system enhancements and monitor their impact on business operations.

Integration and Expansion:

  • Assist in expanding system integrations to ensure seamless connectivity with other platforms and tools.
  • Work with IT and external partners to design and implement scalable integration solutions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Support the establishment of a framework for ongoing evaluation and refinement of Oracle ERP processes.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and assist in leading iterative enhancements.

Project and Change Management:

  • Participate in Oracle-related projects, including system upgrades, module implementations, and process improvements.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption and integration of new functionalities and processes.
  • Provide ongoing support to business units, addressing any issues and ensuring that Oracle ERP solutions meet their needs effectively.

Training and User Support:

  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance user proficiency in Oracle ERP.
  • Provide ongoing support to users, addressing any issues and ensuring optimal use of the system.

Governance and Compliance:

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across Oracle ERP operations.
  • Support the establishment of governance standards to maintain system accuracy and reliability. Implement and manage segregation of duties to ensure compliance and reduce risk.

Backlog Management:

  • Manage and prioritize the backlog of Oracle ERP enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that the most critical issues are addressed promptly.

Requirements Definition and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with business units to define and document requirements for Oracle ERP functionalities. Ensure that requirements align with business needs and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures for Oracle ERP operations. Document all requirements, policies, and procedures to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Pass on detailed requirements and documentation to the implementation team.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with documented policies and procedures.
  • Review and update documentation periodically to reflect changes in business processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority's Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by ensuring staff follows safety and security policies, considers safety in every action, and ensures safety and security concerns are reported.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred). Related experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year for year basis up to 4 years.
  • Four (4) years of experience working with Oracle ERP systems.
  • Proficiency with Oracle ERP Modules, Financials, HCM and Procurement.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, or other similar software
  • Experience in finance, supply chain, or HR processes within ERP systems is preferred. Proven experience in backlog management and implementing segregation of duties.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Oracle ERP modules (e.g., Financials, HCM, Procurement).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience developing and administering training programs Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to work well in a team and maintain an effective working relationship with employees, management, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ability to handle duties and assigned tasks independently without close supervision.
