Serán BioScience is searching for a Senior Scientist to be responsible for drafting, executing, and finalizing validation protocols and providing technical support to the Analytical Development team for cleaning validation and swab recovery studies. As an independent contributor, this experienced scientist will be looked to for helping the Director of Analytical Development lead the cleaning validation program while independently producing results and collaborating interdepartmentally. Ideal candidates will have a strong HPLC method development and validation background and experience performing swab recovery studies, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. While all levels of experience are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to candidates with experience performing cleaning validation within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge performing analyses used to assess the swab recovery of active pharmaceutical ingredients
- Demonstrates subject matter expertise in HPLC method development and validation
- Independently contributes to the cleaning validation team
- Provides guidance or mentorship to junior analysts
- Fluently applies fundamental scientific principles to solve problems and guide decisions
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and propose solutions
- Develops experimental protocols and templates with minimal guidance
- Summarizes, reports, and analyzes data to draw conclusions, with guidance
- Communicates technical information to internal team
- Communicates technical information to external partners, as needed
- Drafts or contributes to technical reports and presentations
- Develops, implements, and updates Analytical Development SOPs, testing records, and other documentation needed for compliance
- Ensures that results are delivered accurately and timely
- Responsibilities may increase in scope to align with company initiatives
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- BS in Chemistry or related field plus 5 years relevant experience
- MS in Chemistry or related field plus 3 years relevant experience

- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing in a laboratory environment
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Adheres to predicable and consistent in-person attendance
