Sales Director K-12
We seek a passionate and experienced Sales Executive to join our growing team. You will lead as an individual contributor to drive sales in the K-12 education market. Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base, you will also build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers in schools and districts and effectively communicate our value proposition through proposals and presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and partners in the K-12 education market
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Create a solution for bids, and estimates from top-down or bottom-up budgets
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends in the K-12 education market
- Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve sales goals
- Provide feedback and guidance to the sales team on performance improvement
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies and activities
Requirements:
- BA/BS or MS degree or equivalent in education, business, marketing or related field
- Proven sales executive experience in the K-12 education market, meeting or exceeding targets
- Able to make quick turnarounds on bids
- Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales director in the K-12 education market
- Ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services in the K-12 education market
- Proven ability to position products against competitors in the K-12 education market
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing customer-focused and achievable solutions in the K-12 education market
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 60%); will include some overnight travel
Work Environment
- LearningMate has offices in the US, India, and UK and global customers. Coordination with the teams primarily in India would demand early morning or late evening calls/meetings
- Primarily indoors at home, client office, or other professional settings; travel from site to site; exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions; and exposure to hazardous driving and traffic conditions.
- Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to regularly walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight up to 25 pounds.
