CFPUA is currently working on a GIS project to have a comprehensive archive of as-builts stored in an SDE database. The GIS internship will give students the knowledge and know-how to edit GIS data in a versioned, SDE, enterprise environment. This is a valuable skill that students do not obtain in a classroom setting.

Essential Job Functions
Interns will learn to:
- Research laserfische and the map room in search of targeted as-builts.
- Use the coordinate geometry tool using easement survey plats to create and update cadastral dataset.
- Maintain and process the GIS spatial data for the project as-built dataset.
- Read a set of Engineering as-builts/plans.
- Create web maps and applications.
- Working towards an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree.
- Majoring in GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or Computer Science.
- Knowledge of ArcPro, ArcMap, Microsoft Suite, and Laserfische.
