FP&A Director

About Role

Ring Concierge is a rapidly growing female-founded fine jewelry company specializing in customized engagement rings and fine jewelry. We are seeking an FP&A Director to be an integral part of our team. The FP&A Director is a key role within the Finance & Accounting team, responsible for supporting the planning, analysis, reporting, and strategy across multiple channels at Ring Concierge, including retail stores and eCommerce. The ideal candidate is highly organized, excels at multitasking, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and maintain complex financial models across multiple business lines to support forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Work with the VP of Finance to set monthly, quarterly, and annual financial targets for sales, margin, and ROI metrics across various categories and channels (retail stores and eCommerce).
• Lead and oversee the monthly forecasting process and the annual budgeting cycle.
• Support and help streamline the month-end close process by completing budget vs. actual analysis against prior periods, budgets, and forecasts.
• Provide strategic financial insights for long-range planning, including 3 year projections and modeling, to guide leadership decisions.
• Lead expense management initiatives by partnering with internal departments to provide monthly expense reports and identify and implement expense reduction opportunities.
• Develop and present financial business case recommendations to optimize profitability, communicating key proposals to the executive leadership team.
• Drive continuous improvements in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes to enhance both efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure alignment of financial reporting with organizational objectives and performance goals.
• Partner with internal and external consultants on Netsuite and other IT systems optimization projects.
• Support executive and cross-functional teams with ad-hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• At least 7-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis roles.
• Retail/eCommerce and corporate experience required.
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
• In-depth expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting methodologies.
• Experience in strategic planning, scenario analysis, and developing business cases to drive key decisions.
• NetSuite experience is a plus.

• Hybrid role located in midtown NYC.
• Office Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the knowledge that we have a startup culture and your day may extend past listed office hours (with the possibility of weekends during busy season or sales).
