Community Services is seeking excited and engaged individuals to apply for the position of Quality Improvement Program Manager (Human Services Program Managaer). This position uses data and great communication skills to drive rule and regulation compliance according to the Commonwealth of Virginia standards. This is a place where the successful candidate can empirically see the results of their work through established visual dashboards.
About This Role:
Candidate will manage a high performing team that monitors and drives compliance with Virginia state behavioral health guidelines. Through these resources, the candidate will enhance agency performance and compliance with required state audits and site visits. Travel within Prince William County is expected, with occasional overnight travel to conferences and state-wide meetings to also occur.
On a daily basis, the candidate will oversee the compliance and regulatory activities of the 2nd largest public behavioral healthcare agency in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Guiding the work of dedicated quality improvement staff, you will review, interpret and recommend practices that keep Prince William CS fully compliant with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services (DBHDS) and the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS). Attending regional and state-wide meetings, interpreting the information shared and overseeing the dissemination of the guidance will be the bulk of the work. Using empirical data, the candidate will recommend policy and procedural changes for the organization to continuously improve its state benchmark data. Collaborating with the IT team, careful attention will be paid on the inputs and driving organizational performance. Guiding the organization through audits and reviews, the candidate will respond to and report on the results. Meeting with and hosting external auditors, the candidate will gather data and reports, walk auditors through the requested information and work throughout the organization to respond to Corrective Action Plans (CAP’s).
Minimum Requirements: High School diploma and 8 years of relevant experience in behavioral healthcare and/or regulatory compliance.
Preferences:
This position is telework eligible, which could begin after meeting initial performance targets within the first several months of hire.
Starting Salary Range: $110,000 -- $140,000.

Preferences:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in nursing, business or public administration.
- Certified Health Care Compliance (CHC) certification.
- More than 5 years of public behavioral health experience implementing quality initiatives, regulatory oversight, risk management, and/or behavioral healthcare licensing.
- Supervisory experience of more than 3 individuals and staff training and development experience.
- Direct supervisory experience of staff delivering Quality Improvement Services, including regulatory oversight.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting overseeing HIPAA compliance.
- Experience working to mitigate risks in a healthcare environment.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and pass DMV record check
- Must pass TB test
- Must pass and maintain first aid and CPR certification
- Offer of employment is contingent upon the candidate passing a fingerprint based National Criminal History Record Check
- Child Protective Services Requirements: Effective 1999, mandated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services 12VA35-105-400 rules and Regulations for Licensing Providers by the Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services related to Criminal Registry Checks, a search of the registry of founded complaints of child abuse and neglected maintained by the Department of Social Services
