Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the community and ready to take the lead in program management? We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Director of Programs to join our nonprofit organization. In this pivotal role, you will oversee our diverse range of programs aimed at empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Specifically, this role will oversee the Adult Development Center, Small Business Program, Community Integration, Wellness Programs, and the Program Counselors. As a key member of our leadership team, you will collaborate with stakeholders, staff, and community partners to ensure that our programs operate smoothly and achieve their intended outcomes. You'll have the opportunity to shape strategic initiatives, foster an inclusive environment, develop new programs, scale existing programs, and maximize the impact of our services.

Responsibilities

· Develop and implement program strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals, design and pilot new programs

· Scale existing programs

· Oversee the management and evaluation of programs to ensure effectiveness and continuous improvement

· Lead and mentor program staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment

· Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to enhance program reach and effectiveness

· Prepare and manage program budgets, ensuring responsible financial oversight and reporting

· Conduct needs assessments and program evaluations to inform planning and development efforts

· Identify and secure funding for new programs and initiatives, including grant writing

· Report on program progress to the Executive Director, stakeholders, and funders, highlighting successes and areas for growth

· Attend community events and outside training

Requirements

· A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management within the nonprofit sector, a minimum of 2 years managing multiple programs

· A minimum 3 years’ experience managing staff, preferably across programs or departments

· Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field, preferred.

· Strong understanding of program evaluation and community needs assessment

· Exceptional leadership and team-building skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

· Proven ability to manage budgets and financial resources

· Passion for community service and a commitment to the mission of the organization, experience with the IDD community preferred

· Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus
