Information Technology Supervisor
We are looking for a qualified individual to oversee the information technology assets of the company. This individual will maintain the computer network and equipment aiming for the highest functionality. This individual must have a thorough knowledge of cyber security, networking, computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications and operating systems. They must be able to maintain a reliable and efficient data communications network, including the ability to deploy, configure, maintain, secure, and monitor all active network equipment to ensure smooth network operation. This position is responsible for directing the future of the department. This position requires excellent troubleshooting abilities and someone who is highly motivated, detail oriented, a self-starter with effective communication skills, both written and oral.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with outside IT consultants to properly secure and maintain efficient IT systems
- A minimum of 2-3 years of team lead experience, developing and mentoring staff
- Oversee Help Desk Technicians Schedule priorities
- Help with equipment purchases
- Oversee Help Desk tickets for IT needs by employees/facility
- Approve timesheets for IT employees
- Write Authorization Requests for IT needs – equipment or services
- Place purchase orders for equipment or projects
- Negotiate IT projects
- Approve IT vendor invoices
- Develop, administer, and maintain policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of all systems
- Control and monitor server maintenance and security including appropriate licensing of software.
- Able to stay abreast of current and future technological developments or trends
- Provide support for internal and external audit reviews and examinations
- Assist in developing training and security awareness programs
- Correspond with Company Headquarters on upcoming polices
- Correspond with Company Headquarters on Internal Audit issues
- Projects Data backup management on network
- End of support devices What needs done to secure the network
- Monitor IT needs of the facility
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets
- Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
- Install/maintain hardware and/or applications and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords, as needed
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
- Help define and implement network/security policies and procedures
- Organize/schedule upgrades and maintenance
- Ability to create reports/queries (Crystal, SQL) is a PLUS
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum travel may be required
