Senior Marketing Manager
Position Overview:
Highly entrepreneurial, proactive, and hands on leadership role, managing all aspects of marketing in order to drive profitable growth. Develops and improves marketing content, product offerings, and website design. Coordinates with management team to continuously improve all aspects of customer service and the customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Develops and improves marketing content, strategies, and marketing channels to take market share from competitors. Specifically targets strategies to beat key competitors selling points.
2) Responsible for website design, improvement, contractor management, content, performance, and all other aspects of building and maintaining industry best website experience. Works with website developer to implement changes, content, and new products.
3) Manages all aspects of video and social media promotions and content. Writes, produces, publishes and manages this content on all key channels, reporting results and continuously growing company exposure and sales.
4) Leads and manages SEM and SEO strategies, data analysis, and projects. Coordinates with outside agencies as applicable. Achieves KPI and financial goals and budgets related to advertising, sales, and margins.
5) Collaborate with the AA team on potential issues with incoming orders to strategize in advance to avoid customer problems or complaints later, and to continuously improve website and order communications. These potential issues include hardware inconsistencies, phone number, email, and address errors, mixed fabric types, and potential fraud clues, etc. Routinely monitors incoming orders and customer communications to identify improvement opportunities.
6) Identifies, specifies, and adds new products and related collateral to expand product offering and profitably grow sales.
7) Identifies new markets / outlets and channels to grow the business.
8) Updates and maintains all KPIs, reports, and metrics as required. Reports results, improvement plans and countermeasures as part of regular management reviews.
9) Oversees corrections and improvements to product offerings to ensure accurate, competitive product positioning.
10) Regularly evaluates competitors with respect to pricing, delivery, service, quality, etc. and works with required production, sourcing, and web developers to offer best value in the industry.
11) Assists in reducing freight costs thru product and packaging design, and other related activities.
12) Supports and fully participates in the company’s continuous improvement processes. “Follows and Lives” the company’s stated values.
13) Uses customer complaints and review feedback to improve website design, service offerings, and customer satisfaction. Assists with responses and resolution of customer issues and complaints.
14) Flexibility to work hours required. Supports sales and customer service as required.
15) Other duties and projects as assigned.
Skills:
- Self-motivated, high energy level, works well without direct supervision.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Exceptional and professional telephone communication skills and email communication skills for interaction with customers.
- Strong follow-through skills to complete tasks “on time” and accurately.
- Technical skills and abilities to learn, understand, document and train others on acoustics, installation, applications, and related topics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years work experience performing above duties is required.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
- Google analytics, SEO and SEM tools, social media platform management experience required.
- Video production required.
- ERP experience preferred.
- Wordpress and Woo Commerce experience preferred.
Onsite position based in either Richmond Virginia or Staunton Virginia.
