For over 40 years, IABA (Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis) has been supporting individuals and families through in-home and community setting. What is Supported Living?

Supported Living Services allow individuals with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes in the community, while developing independent living skills, creating meaningful relationships, and participating as active members in their families and communities.

As a Supported Living Services Supervisor, you will have more than just a job - you will have the opportunity to directly impact someone's life for the better! You will work with individuals in their homes and surrounding communities.

As a Supported Living Services Supervisor, you will train and supervise employees who teach and assist clients in building skills necessary to live independently in their own home. You will oversee Supported Living Services that are provided in the individual's home and in varied community settings in Los Angeles County.

Your daily routine can include:

  • Facilitating meaningful community connections
  • Lead team meetings
  • Supervise direct support staff and senior staff
  • Develop creative individual program plans and supervise implementation
  • Provide direct support, emergency on-call support, and crisis intervention as needed
  • Training staff to teach independent life skills
  • Maintain positive relationships with the people served
  • Increasing helpful, adaptive behaviors

Requirements:

Successful candidates will demonstrate honesty and respect while maintaining a positive, professional work ethic. Must have a prominent level of accountability and dependability. Knowledge of positive behavior supports a plus!

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree and/or 6 years equivalent experience in the field
  • Preferred: Master's Degree
  • Proven experience as personal care assistant
  • Experience with reducing challenging behaviors

  • Maintains on-call responsibility for emergency, by pager. This includes 24-hour on-call availability when scheduled.
  • Substitute if a senior staff is not available to fill in for CSC who did not make it work.
  • Able to support clients in their daily routines; including, but not limited to, nutrition, self-care, social, recreational, personal relationships, money management, etc.
  • Knowledge of positive behavior support practices
  • Be certified in CPR/First Aid/ and ProAct within the first two weeks of employment
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and lift 25 lbs.
  • Successfully pass a background check
  • Possess a valid California Driver's license and provide current driving record issued by the DMV.
  • Provide proof of current car insurance
  • Provide proof of formal documentation of highest level of education completed and/or qualifying certificates
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

  • Salary: $67,000 - $72,000/year, Exempt
