Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Quality Improvement Specialist at Surgical Review Corporation.

Quality Improvement Specialists are value ambassadors for SRC. This includes:

· Serving as a quality improvement resource to facilities and surgeons and link data to practical, clinical applications

· Possessing sufficient leadership experience to work with and present to C-suite-level executives and hospital department managers

· Understanding current challenges for health care providers and being capable of providing appropriate solutions to meet those challenges

· Compiling, organizing, and analyzing healthcare data to support SRC representatives who provide feedback and recommendations to SRC-accredited hospitals and surgeons

· Scrutinizing participant-provided data to identify patterns and trends, verifying accuracy of data submitted, converting data into practical, easy to understand PowerPoint presentations

· Preparing customized reports based on individual participant needs

· Communicating analytic insights to SRC inspectors and team members, applying knowledge of health care business operations to surgical services

· Providing database training and support to designees

Qualifications

  • Nursing background, surgical background helpful, but not required
  • Analytical Skills, flexible, detail-oriented, motivated, and organized
  • Quality Improvement and Quality Management skills
  • Quality Assurance expertise
  • Performance Improvement capabilities
  • Experience in healthcare quality management
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Proficiency in medical and procedural coding a plus
  • Experience with Cerner, EPIC, or other EMR systems a plus
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams
