Our client a fortune 500 company has an interesting REMOTE Contract opportunity for you as a Learning Experience Designer.

Its remote, 6+ month contract.

7.5 hour work day

Pay rate: $55-$60/hr on W2 (Depending on experience)

THIS IS A MUST: Professional experience in the insurance industry is Required

We are looking at candidates who live in and around NY/NJ/CT/MA/DE/PA/GA/VA as there would be travel just to Jersey City, NJ once per quarter.

Person should ideally have 5-7 years of overall Learning Experience Design. 2+ years with insurance industry experience. Although P&C is not required, it is always a big plus.

Job Summary

We are seeking a professional Learning Experience Designer to support our Early Career Program and other strategic initiatives across Client.

In this role, you will develop and design engaging learning experiences to enable professional development within insurance roles and functions, primarily for early career audiences.

You will be joining an experienced Learning & Development team who values adaptability, collaboration, innovation, and accountability, in service to our stakeholders, and ultimately our customers.

The ideal candidate will have a background in learning & development, an understanding of insurance operations, and experience working with subject matter experts and stakeholders to build formal, informal, and social learning offerings. This position is remote and requires availability aligned to primarily EST hours, along with occasional travel (10-20%).

Key Responsibilities

• Assess the needs and goals of the learners, in alignment with those of the organization

• Systematically design content and activities in accordance with learning objectives and outcomes

• Develop engaging and interactive instructional materials/experiences in a variety of formats (eLearning, ILT, VILT, blended, social, etc.) with proper accessibility and inclusion considerations, leveraging industry-standard authoring tools & trends to enhance the learner experience

• Conduct research and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevancy of instructional content

• Facilitate interactive discussions with learners and conduct live/virtual sessions with subject matter experts as needed

• Utilize learner feedback, metrics, and data analytics to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning experiences, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement

Skills and Qualifications

Professional experience in the insurance industry

• Proven working experience in designing learning solutions that measurably improve performance

• Deep knowledge of adult learning theory and principles of instructional/learning experience design

• Demonstrated experience writing copy, instructional text, audio/video scripts, exercises, and assessments

• Technical proficiency with design software, eLearning platforms, multimedia tools, etc.

• Creative and innovative mindset for developing engaging and interactive learning experiences

• Agile and customer-centric approach, adapting and flexing as needs and priorities shift

• Ability to influence without authority and build relationships with leaders at all levels

• Strong communication (written and verbal) and analytical skills to collaborate with subject matter experts, analyze learning needs, and evaluate effectiveness of solutions

• Relevant degree/certification (Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, etc.) is a plus
