Akkodis is seeking a C# Developer – Redmond WA (Hybrid) in lab 3 days onsite, 2 days Offsite, for a 5+ months Contract with a client in Redmond WA. Ideally, we are looking for applicants with solid experience more in line with “handyman” type maintenance, and with an industrial manufacturing BG. Bilingual with Spanish preferred but must speak English.

Rate Range: $65.00 - $72.00 P/HR.; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Summary Description

Typical Day in the Role

• Purpose of the Team: The team, referred to as the drivers team, is responsible for writing drivers that ship with Surface devices. These drivers are low-level components of the operating system that enable various device functionalities, such as converting key presses from the keyboard to the operating system

Key projects:

Testing and verifying drivers.

Creating HLK (Hardware Lab Kit) automation features.

Candidate Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.

• Degrees or certifications required: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required

• Disqualifiers: Candidates not being able to work onsite

Best vs. Average:

Experience with Windows driver development.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps.

Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production system

experience in programming and experience with problem diagnosis and resolution

large systems software design and development experience

A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design

• Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quality of work.

1. Minimum 5 years experience with C#.

2. Minimum 5 years experience with Powershell.

Summary:

The main function of a Software Engineer is to design, develop, implement, test, and maintain business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancement of existing systems

Job Responsibilities:

• Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects

• Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data

• Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications

• Implement system software and customize to client requirements

• Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans

• Code new programs to clients specifications and create test data for testing

• Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs

• Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation

• Provide quality assurance reviews

• Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing
