Position: AQAP/NATO Consultant

Location: Ideally in phoenix, but remote possible if consultant is willing to travel to phoenix as needed

Shift: M-F 8 to 5

Duration: 6 months estimated

Pay Rate: $50-80/hr

Background: Quality management specifically within the AQAP and ISO realm

Must Haves:

  • Extensive knowledge of NATO AQAP 2310 and 2131 standards.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management or consulting within the defense industry.
  • Proven experience in leading certification projects from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Plusses:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or similar certification.
  • Experience with other quality standards such as ISO 9001.
  • Familiarity with defense industry regulations and requirements.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant/Quality Manager to lead our company through the process of obtaining NATO AQAP 2310 and 2131 certification. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management systems, particularly within the defense sector, and a proven track record of successfully guiding organizations through complex certification processes.

Day To Day:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive plan to achieve NATO AQAP 2310 and 2131 certification.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all quality management processes align with NATO standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality management principles and practices.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of the certification process, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with AQAP standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Liaise with external auditors and certification bodies to facilitate the certification process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory changes.
