Project Engineer – Utility Design & Construction Management
We are looking for a proactive and versatile Project Engineer to support our Program Management and Municipality groups in both construction management and utility design. This role spans the entire project lifecycle—from initial development through design, bidding, construction, and final closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate efforts with in-house teams and external project partners.
- Develop, monitor, and manage work plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and contractors.
- Lead and oversee engineers and CAD/BIM technicians to deliver successful projects.
- Manage small to medium projects or key portions of larger initiatives.
- Ensure high-quality project execution while meeting financial goals.
- Participate in technical committees and special projects that support company objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Minimum 18 months as a Professional Engineer (PE) with at least 6 months in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects from design through construction.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients, jurisdictions, and colleagues.
- Commitment to professional development, including teaching at least one technical class.
- Active involvement in professional or technical societies and company committees.
- Demonstrated ability to improve production tools and contribute to company efficiency.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibility and tackle complex assignments.
