RAILSERVE US REVENUE ANALYST
POSITION SUMMARY
Railserve is part of the Marmon Rail Group of companies that serve the Rail industry. Marmon is proud to be part of Berkshire Hathaway and has a long history of success and growth. The Railserve Controller’s office is interviewing for a Revenue Analyst. This role is within the FP&A team and will coordinate with a variety of cross-functional teams. This is an ideal position with opportunity for learning, growth and career development as a finance professional.
This position is mainly remote with in-office requirements for meetings or training on an as-needed basis.
Applicants must be eligible to work legally in the US without sponsorship currently or in the future.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- ~50% of the role is focused on assuring accuracy of monthly invoicing, which includes:
- Partner with Contract Administrator and Account Managers to manage the tracking of contract escalations, amendments, and new locations to ensure proper revenue recognition and billing to end customers.
- Act as liaison between AR and Sales departments to ensure accurate monthly invoicing based on activity changes at each billing site.
- Coordinate with Sales and Operations departments to troubleshoot various contract-related questions and revenue recognition queries.
- Develop revenue assurance processes and controls necessary to ensure completeness of customer invoices.
- Prepare month-end revenue accrual, revenue reports, and variance analyses.
- The remaining ~50% of this role is related to process improvements and ad-hoc projects, including:
- Improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial forecasts and budgets by providing revenue projections and KPIs by location.
- Implement process improvements related to overtime tracking, time and material billing, temporary service pricing, and pass-through billing.
- Coordinate with Operations team to create reporting that ensures no billable overtime is missed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics
- 3 or more years’ experience in a financial role (or relevant business role) with proven track record for success
