Job Description:
The Oracle Financial Specialist Senior will lead and support the Oracle R12 Financial Management System (FMS). The consultant will be responsible for enhancements, maintenance, integrations, and reporting related to Oracle EBS Financial Modules and its transition to Workday ERP by October 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, maintain, and enhance Oracle R12 FMS, including Oracle ERP modules (Grants, Inventory, HRMS, Time & Labor, AR, PO, AP, GL).
- Develop and manage bridge integrations from Oracle FMS to Workday ERP.
- Design and update Oracle FMS reports related to financial transactions (POs, Invoices, GL, Grants, AR, Projects).
- Provide technical and functional support to internal teams.
- Work closely with the Workday HCM/Payroll & Financial Integration Team for data mapping and integrations.
- Optimize performance for concurrent programs/functions and implement additional program functionalities.
- Ensure compliance with public sector regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Provide weekly reports on deliverables and project status updates to management.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Oracle Financials.
- 60% Technical / 40% Functional expertise.
- Strong background in Procure-to-Pay modules, General Ledger (SLA), and Oracle Grants/Projects.
- Experience in Oracle R12.2.x architecture and tech-stack.
- Hands-on experience with Workday integration projects (preferred).

Work Environment:
- Full-time onsite in Providence, RI (35-hour workweek).
- SSL/VPN access for off-hours work when needed.
- State Computer, Desk Phone & Cubicle will be provided.
- Reports to: Agency IT Manager.
Projects & Deliverables:
- Develop and deliver custom Oracle solutions and performance enhancements for financial operations.
- Design and implement custom reports for HR, Grants, OTL, and AP.
- Provide gap fixes, testing, and deployment for Oracle EBS R12 system.
- Assist in transitioning financial data and integrations to the new Workday ERP system.
- Coordinate with DBAs, Lead Consultants, and Oracle Support for issue resolution.
- Ensure timely project execution with detailed documentation for future reference.
Summary:
This role is ideal for a seasoned Oracle Financial Specialist with deep technical and functional knowledge of Oracle R12 Financials and public sector financial systems. The consultant will play a key role in the transition from Oracle FMS to Workday ERP while maintaining and enhancing existing Oracle Financial applications.
