Job Summary
This position is to maintain all aspects of a production facility including but not limited to facility and plant production equipment. The employee is expected to adhere to all plant and OSHA safety procedures and rules. The employee will demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, inspect, and repair all industrial machines and equipment in the plant and building facility as well as assist in the installation and commission of new plant equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities
This position is to maintain all aspects of a production facility including but not limited to facility and plant production equipment. The employee is expected to adhere to all plant and OSHA safety procedures and rules. The employee will demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, inspect, and repair all industrial machines and equipment in the plant and building facility as well as assist in the installation and commission of new plant equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Install and service systems including safety and energy delivery (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
- Install and service communication and process control systems.
- Consult technical documentation, drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Establish process control strategies and configure related systems such as HMI (Human Machine Interface).
- Schedule maintenance and the commissioning of new and existing systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment that is in our scheduled program.
- Install and terminate electrical, pneumatic, and possible fluid connections.
- Work with production personnel to troubleshoot all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues that affect production.
- Work closely with vendors and third parties when troubleshooting.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Works well independently and with others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
- At least 3 years of electrical experience & PLC troubleshooting is required.
- At least 3 years of Process Control Systems (HMI, VFD, etc).
- At least 3 years in Industrial Mechanics.
- Light Welding and Fabrication are preferred.
- Millwright experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Food manufacturing training is preferred.
- Electrical Certification is a plus.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50-75 pounds.
