Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Wireless Device Test Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation test frameworks for wireless devices. This position will involve testing a range of devices, including Fixed Wireless Access Home Internet, CPEs, smartphones, IoT products, and other wireless technologies, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, QA, and system engineering, to streamline the testing process and improve overall efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain automation test frameworks and test scripts for wireless devices.
  • Conduct automated testing for functionality, performance, and security of wireless devices, including LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth devices.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and define test cases accordingly.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and consistent test executions.
  • Troubleshoot and debug test failures, identifying root causes and providing feedback to relevant teams.
  • Work with QA and product teams to develop test strategies and ensure robust test coverage.
  • Analyze test data and report results with clear documentation, highlighting issues and areas for improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new testing tools, and automation best practices to enhance the testing process.
  • Ensure testing adheres to industry and carrier-specific standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in wireless device testing, preferably with a focus on test automation.
  • Proficiency in automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or similar tools.
  • Strong knowledge of wireless communication protocols, including LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and agile development practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues with wireless devices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with network simulators and device testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of carrier certification processes and regulatory standards.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing tools and environments.
  • Background in mobile application testing and UI/UX testing for wireless devices.
