Location: South San Francisco, CA (onsite)

Pay rate: $37-$47/hr.

Duration: 11-month contract, possibility for extension

Job Overview:

The Cellular and Tissue Genomics (gRED) department is seeking a talented and driven Research Technician II for a groundbreaking project in large-scale tissue atlas generation. This role will focus on executing advanced molecular biology technologies to profile tissue biology and support data generation that contributes to the development of computational algorithms and AI/ML models to unravel complex cellular circuits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute advanced molecular biology experiments to profile tissue biology at scale
  • Utilize cutting-edge technologies such as Visium, CosMX, Xenium, and other FISH-based methods
  • Support large-scale tissue data generation efforts to advance tissue atlases
  • Communicate experimental results clearly and iterate on experimental design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive scientific discovery and technology development

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD)
  • Proven experience with cell and molecular biology experiments, data interpretation, and figure generation
  • Familiarity with spatial biology technologies (Visium, CosMX, Xenium, or FISH-based technologies)
  • Strong self-motivation, analytical skills, organization, and excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to contribute to collaborative team science and technology development
  • A passion for science with a drive to learn and grow
