Position Overview – Senior Program Manager

Concurrently oversee the delivery of a set of interrelated projects requiring an integrated and cohesive approach (i.e., program), while managing the program office team and its functional leaders which can include Project Managers. Ensures collaborative management and direction is provided to each distinct project to support the overall strategic objectives of the program. The successful Individual will be accountable for the delivery aspect of Bank-wide operational excellence program. Partner with LOB business leaders, process excellence SMEs to develop an integrated plan to deliver key business objectives around straight-through-processing, omni-channel optimization, digital and self-service. Individual will be required to self-driven to prioritize activities, influence key stakeholders, resolve conflicts.

The role will also require strong partnership with PMO to ensure program governance and controls around standards, financials, reporting is managed. Accountabilities

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
  • Oversees programs with a significant / high level of regulatory oversight
  • Oversees programs with a high-risk profile
  • Oversees overall program financials, benefits realization analysis and manages an overall program budget and may not necessarily align to a business segment but a key strategic initiative(s)
  • Recognized as both and internal and external subject matter expert across LoBs, with an extensive and deep knowledge of the practices, procedures, and principles of project / program management
  • Typically leads the delivery of up to Tier 1 programs with up to a high complexity profile
  • Directly manages a team of Senior Project Managers / Senior Business Analysts and / or Specialized
  • Resources to ensure talent needs and capabilities are developed to support long term goals for the unit
  • Provides strategic guidance to business / functional leaders to ensure escalated concerns or regulatory or governance related program issues are appropriately managed

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate / Postgraduate Degree
  • Project Management Certification required
  • 10+ years relevant experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the practices, procedures, and principles of project management
  • Exposure to financial management with respect to tracking, forecasting, and managing project budgets
  • Ability to make an impact, influence and achieve results with effective negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Commitment to team skills development and ability to attract top talent
  • Team player with ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Ability to create and foster a cohesive team, and promote a positive work environment for all employees

Total compensation range: Up to 250k + incentives
