Job Description:
The Systems Analyst position will help user client into the ever-expanding world of cloud services. Positioned within the Enterprise Applications (EA) team in client s IT, this position will focus on SaaS/Cloud shift and supporting applications, platforms, integrations, and automations. The successful candidate will be joining a highly experienced and agile team of Developers and Analysts charged with stewardship of the core business applications platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
This role supports the Enterprise Applications team in maintaining our portfolio of pre-written software and is a technical resource for modernization projects. Application support includes direct maintenance of on-premises systems, tiered support for cloud/SaaS systems, user adoption activities for business-enabling platforms like Microsoft 365 (M365) and maintaining documentation for all assigned systems. The ideal candidate will have a mixture of technology support and business systems analyst experience. A successful candidate must also possess strong communications and persuasion skills with ability to adapt communications styles to varied audiences.
Successful candidate should be proficient in the following:
- Systems Analysis and Design:
- Work with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for new systems and enhancements.
- Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Design and document system solutions that meet business needs and align with organizational goals.
- Develop functional specifications, system design documents, and workflow diagrams.
- Plans and executes SaaS upgrade, migration and integration projects including coordination of business, vendor and technical activities.
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior systems analysts and IT staff.
- Oversee the development, testing, and implementation of system changes.
- Ensure systems are designed and implemented with scalability, security, and reliability in mind.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Provides Tier-2 and Tier-3 level support for Microsoft 365 technologies and SaaS applications, acting as the intermediary between front-line IT support and product vendor resources.
- Directly involved in application implementations including configuration, data migration, integration, testing, and user training.
- Business applications support, focused on SaaS and Cloud deployed applications, providing both technical support and user adoption activities.
- System Maintenance and Support:
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, including software bugs and data discrepancies.
- Perform regular system audits to ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
- Manage system upgrades, patches, and integrations with other systems.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including user guides and technical manuals.
- Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Follow best practices in systems design, development, and testing.
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to ensure high availability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
Looking for a systems thinker with an eye for technical excellence, continuous improvement, and excellent communications skills. The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- 5-8+ or more years of experience in systems analysis, design, and implementation.
- Cloud/SaaS projects: Experience with SaaS product implementations, including new product onboarding, migrations from on-premises to SaaS, in-cloud upgrades, and hybrid environment integrations among SaaS and on-premises systems.
- Strong experience with enterprise-level systems, databases, and software development lifecycles (SDLC).
- Experience in managing IT projects and leading cross-functional teams.
- User Adoption: Experience building user community (business champions and user groups), promoting training and self-help resource, and connecting business needs to appropriate products, services and resources to achieve desired goals.
- Leadership and communication: Strong leadership experience, particularly with stakeholders and user groups; good verbal and written communication skills; experience tailoring communications to varied audiences.
- Project Management: Experiencecoordinating activities of vendors, business stakeholders and technical colleagues to plan and execute technology projects.
- Technology Support: Experience acting as an intermediary between users and vendors of cloud/SaaS products to ensure they deliver expected business value and conform with SLA requirements.
- Agile/Scrum: Experience working in a scrum team to deliver products, projects, and services using agile, continuous delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with Maximo or Mas is a huge plus.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in computer science or other related field(s) or equivalent experience.
- An equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in business systems support with emphasis on SaaS applications, cloud services, and inter-system integrations.
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in user adoption activities, including individual and group training, knowledge management, fostering user communities, and accelerating momentum with technical and business teams.
- Certifications in Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform are desirable.
- Proficiency in systems analysis tools and methodologies.
