The Role

The IT Director at UTG plays a vital role in ensuring excellence for our customers. This role involves managing and enhancing our IT capabilities, both internally and externally. The successful candidate will be adept at addressing the IT needs of UTG team members and meeting with clients to understand their requirements. In addition to serving as an IT expert, the ideal candidate will have Microsoft Modern Workplace and Power BI/Automate interest. This hybrid position is based out of our Fishers HQ office, with an expectation of at least three days in-office each week. The IT Manager's efforts will be central to our mission of delivering top-tier service and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Become SME on architecture and infrastructure requirements for solutions implemented by UTG
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure their infrastructure is configured and prepared for their installation
  • Provide UC Administration for UTG's internal systems and our customers environments
  • Provide patch management on UC devices for UTG and customers. Strengthen processes of testing, advising, and automated patching
  • Collaborate with UTG's engineering team to identify and test new product offerings
  • Work with customers to help bridge the gap between Enterprise IT and Enterprise A/V
  • Collaborate with UTG Sales to ensure IT related information is available for customers, and maintain availability to assist in IT specific sales discussions
  • Develop new processes to accelerate and increase quality of solution implementation
  • Train and share knowledge with internal UTG teams to better support and service our customers
  • Continually learn and experiment to best understand our offerings, and maintaining partner qualifications
  • Participate in internal UTG IT Support needs
  • Develop and implement Customer communication capabilities to alert of changes, patches, updates, service outages, etc. that could affect their environment

Competencies

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • IT technical experience (Infrastructure, Security, and/or Support)
  • A+/Net+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Experience with MS Teams Administration
  • Presentation and networking skills that can best show the culture and capabilities of UTG
  • Empathetic approach to working with customers or internal UTG requests and issues
  • Ability to communicate best practices for all internal platforms and ensure proper use for data creation, storage, maintenance, etc. (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Microsoft certifications
  • Power BI and/or Power Automate experience
  • A/V equipment installation, programming, or support experience
  • CTS/MS-700/CCNA/ZTSA certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
