Role Description

This is a remote role for an Interpreter on contract. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available. The Interpreter will be responsible for facilitating verbal communication between English- and other language-speakers in various contexts. Day-to-day tasks involve interpreting client interactions from a remote location.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and another language
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Knowledge of cultural differences and the ability to adapt to various communication styles and dialects
  • Excellent memory retention and note-taking skills
  • Professional certification or accreditation as an Interpreter is preferred
  • Prior experience as an Interpreter is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and sufficient internet connection (hard-wired/ethernet)
  • Windows 10+ or Mac computer
  • Wired (not wireless) headset
