Your role in helping us shape the future:

We’re looking for an eager-to-learn intern to help the sponsored content team, BrandFuse, with producing and publishing content for advertisers. This is a good opportunity for someone who relishes being creative – you’ll get to participate in content ideation and publication on a variety of subjects, from travel, to healthcare, to buying a home, to planning for college, and more – plus you’ll assist with editorial tasks such as research and editing. You’ll also learn about content strategy – not just producing articles, infographics and interactives that read well and look good, but ensuring that the content reaches and resonates with an intended audience.

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Expert and anecdotal source gathering for both web content and social campaigns.
  • QA (quality assurance) checks, copy editing and line edits on soon-to-be published or recently published content.
  • Analytics to monitor content and social campaign performance.
  • Asset collection, filing, editing and storage (photos, promotional placements).
  • Writing and editing as necessary for story pitches, articles, photo captions, headlines, social copy and sales collateral.
  • Some light design work for presentation and proposal decks, asset libraries and other ad hoc assignments.
  • BrandFuse interns will also receive training on how to use our content management system/publishing platform and ad server, as well as a how-to on Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager and Data Studios. From time to time, our interns will also get to work with the Ad Operations, Ad Management and Sales Strategy team on other tasks related to our sponsored content campaigns.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Eligible candidates must be one of the following:
  • Part-time or full-time students who have completed 48+ credit hours (rising juniors/seniors and graduate students) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university
  • Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism and maturity in the workplace
  • Effective communicator in both written and spoken English
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite and Google Docs
  • 3.0 GPA or above preferred


Preferred Qualifications:

  • General understanding of AP Style
  • Solid writing and communication skills
  • An eye for detail
  • Experience working with Canva, Looker Studio and Powerpoint would be a plus
  • Preferred degrees: Journalism, Communications, Digital Audiences and/or Marketing


Summer Intern Program Description:

  • 10 weeks; starting on Monday, June 2 through Friday, Aug 8, 2025
  • We expect interns to work 37.5 hours/week, Monday- Friday
  • All candidates must be able to work a hybrid in-office work schedule from our Washington, DC office.
  • Internship pays $17.50 per hour
