My client is in need of a senior level BI Analyst. This is not a developer role
The clients timelines and deliverable have been moved up and need a senior level BI Analyst to join their team. This person needs to have excellent SQL skills and can not only build out queries on the backend but be able to translate those queries. Interpretation of data is very important for this role.

From the client:
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in transition of ecommerce reporting from one data platform (AWS) to our new data platforms (GCP). This will include: researching and QAing data source alignment; translating queries; and validating results.
• Adjust Tableau reports/visualizations to accommodate changes to backend queries as needed.
• Optimize backend queries for performance – provide thought leadership on opportunities for enhancement.
• Document changes and ensure datasets within Tableau are organized appropriately for self-service usage.
Qualifications:
• 5 years’ experience in a Business Intelligence or technical analytics role or relevant education
• Proven experience developing SQL-based queries to be used for high-visibility reporting. Advanced proficiency in SQL as must.
• Deep understanding of data pipelines, including strong abilities to communicate, debug, and collaborate with data engineering teams
• Experience with Tableau
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience and desire to develop best-in-class documentation
• Experience with Python a plus
• Ecommerce commercial experience is a plus
Job Description
We are looking for a Business Intelligence contractor to support the transition of a critical set of reporting from an AWS-based data repository to a GCP-based system. This reporting is used by ecommerce teams Levi’s, and has hundreds of engaged, daily users. These reports have a complex data background and requires an enthusiastic BI contractor to engage in the technical work of transitioning the backend queries into new dashboards, including: researching and QAing data source alignment; translating queries; and validating results. The work will have the additional challenge of navigating ongoing changes within the GCP-based data repository. This project will be crucial to the ecommerce team, visible to leadership, and present a dynamic set of challenges!
