Cyber Security Analyst

GeBBS Consulting, a leader in Healthcare Technology solutions, has an immediate opening for a Cybersecurity Analyst to support a major California-based health plan partner. This is a remote role with the potential for occasional on-site presence in Bakersfield, CA.

Position Description:

The Cybersecurity Analyst will be pivotal in safeguarding the health plan’s digital assets and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. Working under the guidance of senior Information Security professionals, they will monitor security events, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement security controls to mitigate risks. The Cybersecurity Analyst will also assist in incident response activities, participate in Information Security projects, and help maintain compliance with the organization’s Information Security policies and procedures.

What You’ll Get to Do:

• Implement, maintain, and operate security hardware and software, including antivirus, endpoint protection, and XDR solutions.
• Implement, maintain, and operate Identity Access Management (IAM) components, including single sign-on and multi-factor authentication.
• Assist in developing Information Security policies and procedures.
• Evaluate and recommend Information security tools and solutions.
• Implement and monitor security controls and procedures.
• Develop monitoring and visibility capabilities, report on incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends.
• Perform periodic security scans of organization's infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities.
• Work with third-party security firms to perform annual assessment and remediation of vulnerabilities to the organization's Information Technology infrastructure.
• Understand and implement the organization's Incident Response Plan.
• Monitor network traffic flow to/from and within the organization using network analysis tools and firewall logs.
• Write comprehensive reports including incident response debriefs, software evaluation plans, and product evaluation reports.
• Work and communicate effectively with the various professionals throughout the organization.
• Conduct educational exercises for other team members and departments on a periodic basis.
• Respond to Information Security incidents and alerts.
• Develop and modify basic scripts to assist in log ingestion, automation of routine tasks, and deployment of Information Security tools.
• Serve as a point of escalation to Helpdesk and IT Operations on Information Security issues.
• Follow the change management process and ensure stakeholders are involved in changes.
• Provide notification of internal and business partner incidents.

You’ll Bring these Qualifications:

• 5+ years in role of Cybersecurity Analyst.
• CySA+ or CISSP certification.
• Willingness to work up to 10% on-site in Bakersfield, California.
