Administrative Analyst – Environmental Program Support Team
Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA (Union Station) – Hybrid Schedule (44/36)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:45 PM, alternating Fridays off
Duration: 6-month Assignment
Pay rate: $45.20 – $48.00 per hour
On behalf of our client, a government entity serving as a regional wholesaler of clean and sustainable water in Southern California, we are seeking an Administrative Analyst to support the Office of Safety, Security, and Protection Group within the Environmental Program Support Team.
This position requires strong analytical skills, independent judgment, and the ability to manage a wide range of financial and administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will provide budget development and administration support, invoice and audit compliance, dashboard reporting, and general high-level administrative assistance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis, including monthly and variance reporting, data analysis, and financial statement preparation to support budget planning and compliance.
- Assist in the development, administration, and monitoring of departmental budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Track and review invoices and support audit compliance efforts to maintain financial integrity.
- Prepare dashboard reports, presentations, and executive summaries for leadership revenw.
- Utilize financial tracking systems and software applications to analyze data and generate reports.
- Conduct research, compile data, and provide recommendations to support departmental decision-making.
- Support contract development and administration, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Manage multiple high-priority projects and administrative tasks, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, to generate reports, analyze data, and deliver presentations.
- Act as a liaison between departments, vendors, and stakeholders, facilitating clear communication.
- Provide general administrative support, including correspondence preparation, document management, and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with four years of relevant experience, or master's degree with two years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of four years of financial experience in monthly and variance reporting, data analysis, and financial statement preparation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in data analysis and presentations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate financial and operational data.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and stakeholder interactions.
- Valid California Class C Driver License for work-related travel.
