The Director of Global PMO Planning and Support will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and operational excellence of Global Real Estate and Workplace’s (GRW) Program Management Office. This position reports to the Senior Director II, Global Workplace Financials and Project Delivery and requires a seasoned program manager with a deep understanding of project management methodologies, global project coordination, and stakeholder engagement. The Director of Global PMO Planning and Support will be responsible for creating a model for providing centralized support, governance, and best practices across all projects as well as leading our Annual Business Planning efforts. This role demands an innovative approach to process improvement, a high degree of complexity in managing global initiatives, and a strong emphasis on effective communication.
This person will also be responsible for creating PMO standards and onboarding documents to ensure consistency and efficiency in project execution and team integration. In addition to strategic responsibilities, the Director of Global PMO Planning and Support will step in and provide hands-on support to other PMOs when they are at or above capacity, ensuring that all projects continue to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.

Pay Range:$143,000 - $162,000

Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.

What You’ll Do for Us
- Establish PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices across global projects.
- Create comprehensive onboarding documents and training materials for new PMO team members and outsourced project managers.
- Ensure that global project initiatives are fully aligned with the organization's strategic objectives, driving business growth and competitive advantage.
- Manage the change management function and process to ensure smooth transitions, stakeholder buy-in, and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
- Develop and implement change management strategies that drive global consistency in how changes are communicated, adopted, and reinforced.
- Ensure that change management practices are standardized and integrated into all PMO processes and methodologies, promoting a uniform approach across all regions.
- Oversee vendor management related to change management resources to ensure alignment with PMO standards and successful integration of external support.
- Create, develop, and implement governance frameworks to ensure project consistency, compliance, and risk management.
- Establish PMO processes, policies, standards, and reporting that are repeatable across all regions and drive project consistency and adherence.
- Work with CBRE to develop a system to track and manage resource capacity across multiple projects.
- Provide additional expertise to alleviate bottlenecks and facilitate project success.
- Develop and implement end-to-end program management processes, including standard operating protocols, process playbooks, and guidelines.
- Create and implement standardized processes, tools, and methodologies for consistency and scalability.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PMO processes, tools, and overall project delivery.
- Leverage industry best practices and emerging trends in project management to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Enhance project delivery capabilities and operational efficiency through the implementation of standardized processes and best practices.
- Develop and promote scalable best practices for project management to ensure consistent application across global projects.
- Regularly review, update, and disseminate best practices across the organization.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the success and efficiency of global projects.
- Regularly review, update, and disseminate best practices across the GRW organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with proven leadership experience in a global PMO or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, large-scale projects across multiple regions and time zones.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Position may require occasional travel to global company locations and project sites.
