LOCATION: Green Bay

STANDARD HOURS: Monday-Thursday 9:00am – 3:00pm. Flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours, as necessary.

Minimum starting rate of pay: $20.00 per hour

Position Summary

This position is responsible for assisting students in identifying gaps in study skills, time management, organization, focus/concentration, note taking, test taking tips. This position would allow faculty in the program area to have utilize the broad tutoring referral that isn’t subject matter/content based. The focus on the Academic Coach/Tutor will be to support students in the identified. Additional responsibilities include assistance with scheduling and as well as other duties to support the Academic Coaching Team.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Create a welcoming, comfortable learning environment to promote success for students requiring additional academic assistance in person and in the online format.
  • Observe students’ performance and record relevant data to assess progress.
  • Work with students to identify gaps in study skills, time management and note taking, coaching to then develop these skills consistent with learning needs and style.
  • Assist with the design and execution of a marketing campaign to promote the use of Academic coaching.
  • Format Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat files, create tables and charts, and other formats needed for reports and status updates.
  • Key and track data into systems such as Workday.
  • Assist the Academic coaching team with administrative duties.

Skills & Abilities

Education: Associate degree in area of office administration or marketing preferred

Experience: 2 years’ experience in education

  • An equivalent combination of work experience and education may be considered.

Computer Skills

Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint required, Access, Workday, and Adobe software a plus.

  • Experience with E-mail, Internet, keyboarding
  • Ability to operate office equipment, copier, scanner, personal computer, fax machine, label maker.
  • Ability to learn new software
