This internship is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in branding, marketing, and multi-client engagement while working directly with the founder and lead brand strategist. Internship Overview

As Brand & Marketing Intern, you will work on real client and internal projects, gaining experience in branding, storytelling, marketing strategy, and social media engagement. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to market research, content creation, partnership outreach, and brand development efforts.

This is not a get-the-coffee type of internship—rather, it’s as hands-on as it gets. This internship is structured to provide both executional experience and creative ownership, allowing you to apply your skills in a meaningful way. The capstone project will be developing a brand strategy for a small business or nonprofit using Growth Story’s framework for research and identity development with the potential to be included on Growth Story’s website. The intern can then use this case study in their portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Provide brand and marketing support for clients and Growth Story, collaborate on social media strategy and content creation, be part of building partnerships and lead generation, provide thought leadership with blog writing, complete capstone brand strategy project.

Ideal Candidate

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, Design, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills.
  • Interest in branding, storytelling, and digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest) and content creation tools (Canva, Adobe, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also collaborating effectively.
  • Open to learning new tools and marketing techniques.
  • Some experience in graphic design, content creation, or market research is a plus but not required.
