Job Description:

Position Overview: Innovatus Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team at the Pentagon. The successful candidate will provide technical support for desktop systems and applications, ensuring optimal performance and security for our users. A current Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals in a secure environment.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
  • Provide end-user support through troubleshooting, training, and documentation.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the Pentagon's secure network.
  • Ensure compliance with all security protocols and government regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of all hardware and software assets.
  • Assist in the deployment of new technologies including Microsoft Office 365 (O365) and Azure environments.
  • Document procedures and keep detailed records of support tickets and resolutions.
  • Work closely with other IT team members to ensure system reliability and integrity.


Qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: Must possess a current Secret Clearance.
  • Education: Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in desktop support or a similar technical role.
  • Desirable: Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure environments.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Knowledge of network configuration and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of security best practices in a government setting.


Certifications: Security+ Required

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Patience and a customer service-oriented approach.


Additional Information:

This position may require occasional after-hours or weekend work for system maintenance or emergency support. Physical demands include sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs for equipment setup, and occasionally working in confined spaces.
