Global Logistics Manager
As the Global Logistics Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of our global supply chain operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across international markets. Managing a diverse catalog of ingredients and finished goods, you will design innovative logistics solutions, optimize shipping methods, and navigate complex customs regulations. Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain, you’ll play a key role in driving operational efficiency, cost reduction, and compliance, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company’s growth.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global logistics strategies to optimize shipping costs, improve efficiency, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Determine the best shipping methods (FCL, parcel, LTL, etc.) and identify cost-saving opportunities (e.g., warehouse consolidation, supplier warehouse utilization).
- Oversee customs clearance processes, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations and optimizing tariffs and duty costs.
- Manage logistics for temperature- and humidity-sensitive products and ingredients classified as hazardous goods.
- Identify and implement innovative logistics solutions to enhance supply chain flexibility.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, supply chain, and regulatory teams to maintain seamless operations.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of global logistics, including shipping methods, freight forwarding, and supply chain optimization.
- Experience with regulatory compliance & customs clearance, including knowledge of tariffs, duties, and import/export regulations.
- Ability to analyze logistics challenges and develop cost-saving, scalable solutions.
- Familiarity with regulated goods industries (e.g., nutraceuticals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food supplements).
- Knowledge of warehousing strategies (e.g., leveraging Hong Kong warehouses for tariff efficiencies).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex logistics environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing temperature- and humidity-sensitive products.
- Understanding of hazardous goods classifications and associated logistics risks.
- Background in regulated industries with complex shipping requirements.
- Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) partners and supply chain software.
