The Senior CAD Drafter is responsible for creating and revising detailed engineering drawings and plans for civil infrastructure projects using Autodesk Civil 3D. This role supports engineers and project managers by developing accurate and efficient design solutions for transportation, site development, drainage, and utility projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify 2D and 3D engineering drawings using Civil 3D.
  • Prepare grading, surfaces, alignments, corridors, and pipe networks for civil engineering projects.
  • Produce plan, profile, and cross-section sheets per project and client standards.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, municipal regulations, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, and other team members to integrate design elements.
  • Create and Maintain CAD standards, templates, and project documentation.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior drafters/designers when necessary.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in civil drafting and design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil 3D, including grading, alignments, corridors, and utility design.
  • Understanding of civil engineering concepts, including roadway, drainage, and site development.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
