Shegerian & Associates is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team. The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing, processing, and maintaining payroll, salaries, and compensation data with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Auditing Time & Attendance records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring timely reconciliations
  • Calculating and inputting wages, bonuses, and deductions
  • Addressing payroll-related inquiries from employees
  • Ensuring compliance with tax laws, payroll regulations, and ERISA regulations
  • Maintaining payroll records and generating relevant reports for management
  • Administering all benefit plans, including but not limited to insurance, 401(k), FSA, and cafeteria plans, and answering enrollment-related inquiries
  • Onboarding new employees
  • Offboarding employees
  • Handling EDD, SDI, PFL, and unemployment
  • Administer Leave of Absence requests
  • Processing workers' compensation claims
  • Maintaining the Employee Handbook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must have at least two of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements

Schedule

Hours will vary between 30-35 hours per week with the capacity to become a 40 hour per week position. Must be available to work 8 hour days when needed.
