Job Status: Full-Time, Salaried Exempt

Pay Range: $75,000 - 85,000/year

Hours: Monday - Friday - Flexible on start time between 8-9am

Position Overview

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a strategic advisor and partner to their assigned regional business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives to support a high-performing, inclusive workplace. This role is key in driving talent management, employee relations, performance development, and organizational growth across the company. The HRBP will work closely with management and employees to ensure HR practices align with company values and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Partner with recruiting team and hiring managers during hiring process, including interviewing, assessing, and onboarding top talent.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers on succession planning and talent pipeline development.
  • Employee Relations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, fostering a positive work environment through conflict resolution, coaching, and mediation.
  • Advise and coach managers on employee management, promoting fair and consistent policies and practices.
  • Conduct investigations and address employee concerns, escalating when necessary.
  • Performance Management & Development
  • Oversee performance management processes, guiding managers on setting goals, providing feedback, and supporting employee development.
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify skill gaps and develop tailored learning and development programs.
  • Facilitate performance review cycles, ensuring timely and constructive evaluations.
  • Organizational Development & Change Management
  • Partner with leadership to implement organizational change initiatives, fostering employee engagement and alignment with company goals.
  • Support organizational growth by identifying areas for improvement and leading initiatives to enhance culture and employee experience.
  • Provide guidance on team development and support efforts to build high-functioning teams across departments.
  • HR Compliance & Policy Development
  • Ensure compliance with California and federal labor laws, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure they are relevant and compliant.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including wage and hour laws, FMLA, EEO, and other employment regulations.
  • Compensation & Benefits
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to review and administer the compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and equitable practices.
  • Provide guidance to employees on benefit offerings, open enrollment, and other compensation-related inquiries.
  • Work with payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee benefits, leave management, and adjustments.
  • Data Analysis & HR Metrics
  • Leverage HR data to identify trends, develop insights, and recommend improvements across HR programs.
  • Track and report on key metrics such as employee engagement, turnover, and recruitment effectiveness to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Present data insights and recommendations to senior leaders to support strategic planning and HR effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field and/OR minimum 5 years of HR experience with a focus on business partnering, employee relations, and talent management.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of California and federal labor laws; experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity) is preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills; ability to handle complex employee relations issues with sensitivity and confidentiality; proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive recommendations and decisions.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and able to handle ambiguity effectively.
