JOB SUMMARY:
Northeastern University’s Seattle Campus seeks a motivated and adaptable individual to serve as an Experiential Learning Coordinator for the Summer 1 and Summer 2 terms. Working with the Assistant Director of Mobility Programs (Seattle Campus) and with Northeastern’s Global Experience Office (GEO), and in collaboration with Campus Director of Program Development (Seattle), this position will support and engage Northeastern undergraduate cohorts attending study away/residency programs in Seattle for Summer 2025. This position will also work in collaboration with staff across departments to help plan, coordinate, and engage students in undergraduate mobility program opportunities, aligned with campus and University visions.
This is a temporary full-time position (40 hours/week) with single occupancy living quarters at Cornish Commons and a meal stipend. Overnight and weekend rotations are required.

This position will also work in collaboration with staff across departments to help plan, coordinate, and engage students in undergraduate mobility program opportunities, aligned with campus and University visions.

Responsibilities Include
- Partner with GEO, campus, OTC, college and university staff to develop and operationalize programming on the Seattle campus
- Provide direct support and integration between the campus and GEO teams to support students
- Participate in Health & Safety Orientation
- Participate in student-focused orientations
- Assist students with cultural immersion
- Be an ambassador for Northeastern University; exhibit knowledge of, and enthusiasm for NU
- Participate in and occasionally develop suitable cultural activities to immerse the students in the culture of the area
- Assist with recording program expenses
- Create an environment that is conducive to social and intellectual growth
- Act as safety liaison with Campus, GEO, and NU by carrying NU cell phone while on shift
- Maintain the safety and well-being of the participants during assigned shift
- Serve as one of the primary contacts for program participants
- Complete documentation as necessary
- Exercise excellent judgment in supervision, emergency response, and policy interpretation and implementation
- Execute integration strategy for undergraduates or cohorts to impactfully engage with Seattle Campus student and alumni communities and local industries
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Graduate students encouraged to apply
- Intercultural sensitivity/global awareness
- Willingness to confront potentially challenging situations and ability to manage response
- Proven leadership and consensus building experience
- Ability to supervise college students in diverse environments (Classroom, Transit, Residence, Museum, Etc.)
- Experience working or living in a student-centric environment preferred
- Ability to multitask and problem solve in a fast-paced work environment
- Proven high levels of professionalism
- Must be adaptable in the instance of schedule shifting
