KinderSystems is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our accounting team. The Accounting Manager should have experience working in a growing company. This role will help develop, lead, and manage the accounting operations and financial reporting for the Company. The Accounting Manager will assist in leading all aspects of the Company’s accounting operations including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and technical accounting. This role reports to the Company’s Chief Financial Officer.

What You’ll Do With Us

• Lead and mentor the accounting team responsible for the formulation, interpretation, and adherence of enterprise accounting policies and internal controls
• Oversee all entities' accounting-related matters, including GL, AR, AP, and monthly and annual closing processes
• Review/reconcile Balance Sheets, ensuring account balances are accurate and fully supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and statements including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other operational and financial reporting
• Provide reports and interpret the results of operations to management. This includes fluency in operating data and the coordination of systems, procedures, and special reports
• Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures
• Compare performance with operating plans and standards
• Ensure timely execution of external audits
• Ensure compliance with all governmental and taxing authorities
• Continue to improve ERP / Financial Accounting platform utilization and processes
• Assist in forecasting short-range and long-range cash requirements and obligations, as a basis for maintaining adequate funds

About you:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, ideally in either public accounting or a high-growth startup company
• 2+ years of management experience as an Accounting Manager, or similar role
• Professional certification CPA or CMA a plus
• Experience and proficient with NetSuite
• Experience with the Subscription-as-a-Service business model is highly valued
• Deep technical accounting experience and a command of GAAP accounting principles and procedures, including ASC606 Revenue Recognition and ASC842 Leases
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Microsoft suite of products
• Experience building, implementing, and enforcing accounting policies and processes to support a scaling business
• Excellent financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to recommend, develop, and document right-sized policies, processes, and procedures for a rapidly growing company
• An ownership mindset with a high degree of accountability for accuracy and hitting deadlines
• The ability to communicate effectively with both financially and non-financially focused audiences
