Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager of Product Development to oversee the lifecycle of new product creation from concept to launch. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely execution and alignment with company goals. You’ll be the key point of contact between R+D, design, marketing, and production teams, driving initiatives to meet both business objectives and customer expectations.

PROJECT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Planning & Coordination: Lead the development of project timelines, manage resources, and coordinate teams to ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality. Develop and manage project timelines ensuring key milestones are met for DTC, retail, and Amazon.
  • Product Development Process: Oversee the entire process of product development, ensuring it stays aligned with market needs, regulations, and company strategy.
  • R&D Collaboration: Partner with the R&D team to ensure product concepts are technically feasible, and lead efforts to resolve any product development challenges that arise during research and testing phases. Lead project management for R&D from ideation to feasibility keeping cross-functional team informed on status and timing along the way.
  • Timeline Management: Ensure all teams are aligned on project timelines and work collaboratively to meet key milestones and deadlines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R+D, Procurement, Marketing, Accounting, and Graphic Design to manage product requirements, testing, and go-to-market strategies.
  • External Manufacturer Collaboration: Work closely with external contract manufacturers to manage timelines, ensure accountability, and guarantee successful commercialization.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Create and manage budgets for product development, ensure resources are allocated efficiently, and track project expenses.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the product development process to ensure adherence to quality standards and resolve any issues or risks that arise.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the product development process and collaborate with the team to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with teams to identify process gaps and proactively bring solutions to improve workflow efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and timelines.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in project management or product development.
  • Strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with project management software and tools
  • A proactive mindset and ability to drive initiatives.
  • Must have knowledge of New product development (NPDI) and Stage-GATE process.
  • Must have understanding of the GTM process and transition from R&D to GTM activities.
