What You ll Do

  • Perform data collection & analysis, gathering and analyzing hospitality performance data such as occupancy rates, revenue, and guest demographics.
  • Support API performance analysis and monitor API response times and data latency to improve efficiency.
  • Work with vendors to troubleshoot API issues, data discrepancies, or system updates.
  • Analyzing vendor data to measure KPIs such as service levels, pricing accuracy, and product availability.
  • Develop in-depth reports to support business decision making.
  • Conduct comprehensive business process assessments and cost/benefit analyses to align technology with organizational goals.
  • Create documentation and guides on how to access and use data effectively.
  • Oversee cross-functional projects, mentor junior analysts, and serve as the liaison between leadership, IT, and business units.
  • Identify process improvements and champion best practices to streamline data management across all team functions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define, analyze, and implement optimal technical and application solutions.

Who You Are

  • Skilled in data analysis and gathering and interpreting complex data sets, with a strategic mindset that sees the bigger picture.
  • Experience supporting data analysis within the hospitality industry is required.
  • Hands-on experience with data and business process modeling tools.
  • Experience with Opera or MicroSymphony property management system (PMS).
  • Experience with hospitality Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Strong data driven reporting skills using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to support decision-making.
  • Experience with API integration and management.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL and developing SQL queries.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills. Ability to derive understanding from data and how it can be used to derive valuable business and analytic outputs.
  • Experience with analyzing patterns, anomalies, and trends.
  • Guest experience & satisfaction analysis experience with relation to guest feedback, online reviews, and survey data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • A natural communicator capable of bridging gaps among technical teams, leadership, and end users.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects, delivering on-time, and ensuring service levels meet or exceed expectations.
  • Ability to work in an on-site environment that fosters immediate collaboration and feedback.

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a Data Analyst role.
  • SQL development skills for data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Hotel Systems such as Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), and Revenue Management Systems (RMS).
  • Statistical and forecasting skills such as demand prediction, pricing optimization, and trend analysis.
  • Vendor system and API integration experience with PMS, POS, and third-party vendor systems to extract and integrate data for operational insights.
  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent.
