  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.

Role Overview

Rapid growth eCommerce startup is in search of their first internal IT/Security Manager! In this role, you will report directly to the CTO and will be responsible for overseeing and securing our web, cloud, and corporate IT infrastructure. You will establish and enforce security policies, manage employee access to various platforms, and ensure compliance with industry best practices. You will work closely with the CTO to develop and implement security strategies while taking a hands-on approach to day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and secure IT infrastructure, including Shopify, AWS, Google Workspace, and other cloud services.
  • Oversee website security, including DDoS protection, SSL management, and firewalls.
  • Ensure corporate IT security, including laptops, network security, VPN access, and endpoint protection.
  • Develop and enhance security policies using frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST.
  • Ensure compliance with global regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, advising leadership on security risks.
  • Provide security awareness training for employees, leveraging online training resources.
  • Manage user access across platforms and improve Identity & Access Management (IAM) processes.
  • Secure AWS cloud infrastructure and integrate security measures across third-party services.
  • Conduct or oversee penetration testing, collaborating with external security firms as needed.
  • Establish encryption standards for customer data, internal files, and sensitive company information.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or infrastructure management.
  • Strong experience with AWS, Google Workspace, Shopify, and cloud-based security solutions.
  • Hands-on expertise in network security, endpoint protection, and access management.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST) and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience managing penetration testing, DDoS protection, and encryption standards.
  • Ability to balance hands-on work with strategic security planning.
  • Strong communication skills and prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
