Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst & Technical Writer to support an AWS-based project. This hybrid role involves analyzing business and system requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and creating clear and concise technical documentation. The ideal candidate has experience working in cloud environments, understands AWS services, and excels at translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Systems Analysis:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and cloud architects to gather and document system requirements.
- Analyze business processes and recommend cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS services.
- Define functional and non-functional requirements for AWS-based applications.
- Support the design and implementation of system workflows, integrations, and automation.
- Work with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure solutions align with business needs.
Technical Writing:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, APIs, deployment guides, and user manuals.
- Create process flow diagrams, data models, and system architecture diagrams using Visio.
- Document AWS infrastructure configurations, security policies, and compliance guidelines.
- Produce clear, concise, and well-structured documentation tailored for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Maintain and organize documentation repositories using Confluence, SharePoint, and MS Word.
- Maintain version control for documentation using tools like Confluence, Git, or similar platforms.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst, Technical Writer, or a similar role in an AWS environment.
- AWS Knowledge: Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, and API Gateway.
- Technical Skills: Understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and APIs.
- Writing & Documentation Tools: Proficiency in Confluence, MS Word, SharePoint, and Visio for documentation and process modeling.
- Methodologies: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaboration tools like Jira.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner).
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience in regulatory compliance documentation (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, FedRAMP).
