Onsite Requirements:

Job Description:

• Proactively own and manage the PowerBI/PowerApp platform.


• Collaborate with a diverse group of business stakeholders to elicit, gather, and document business requirements and use cases for Power BI dashboards and reports.


• Manage business needs and communicate requirements to a team of external PowerBI and PowerApp experts to help build and deploy finalized reports.


• Efficiently manage all PowerBI development projects and timelines, including tracking meeting minutes, next steps, open items, and addressing risk/concerns.


• Ensure reports are validated and aesthetically clean in design.


• Develop testing plans to ensure testing is performed prior to business handoff and final user acceptance testing is signed off.


• Provide governance (and guardrails) on PowerBI and PowerApp usage across the company.


• Design a clean and organized PowerBI workspace setup with relevant roles and responsibilities.


• Understand data sets and become an expert in company data sets across their systems.


• Prepare documentation of process procedures and liaise between the business users (internal and external).


• Work with IT to set up new PBI functionality, resolve issues, and handle security assignments.
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

School and Prior Work Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in a Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.


• Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst/Project Management experience within a Business Intelligence or Financial Reporting role.
  

Technical Skills:

• Experience working with Power BI and Power BI Report Builder (paginated reports).


• Knowledgeable in Power BI Service functionality including workspaces, apps, usage metrics, recurring refreshes, dataset access, and row-level security (RLS).


• Experience working with finance data sets and knowledge of common financial data modeling is a plus.


• Exposure to cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure.


• Experience working with project management and software development tools such as JIRA, Asana, Azure DevOps.


• Proficient in Excel.


• Strong Data Management experience, with a deep understanding of the role of data quality.

• Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret stakeholder business needs and translate them into Financial Reporting requirements.


• Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage competing and multiple priorities.


• PMP certification is preferred (but not necessary).


• Demonstrate high degree of critical and strategic thinking.


• Ability to work through complex issues and challenges and present business stakeholders with clear options for remediation.


• Financial Services experience required.


• Strong financial acumen required.


• Understanding of Private Markets business processes is a strong plus.


• Ability to learn quickly and take initiative to learn independently.


• Ability to work within a team as well as perform tasks independently.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while building strong relationships across cross-functional teams.


• Strong executive presence, a unifying force able to push initiatives through while distinguishing user requests from underlying true needs.


• Excellent communication skills and EQ required.
