We are looking for a VP/SVP o f Advanced Analytics to join NRG to shape and execute our company’s analytics vision . This role will report directly to our C-level leadership team, and will be responsible for leading, championing and participating in client facing pitches, discussions and pr oposals related to statistical methodologies, advanced analytical techniques and data science rigor. This is a strategic, client-facing leadership position that requires strong business acumen, exceptional technical expertise , and a deep understanding of the market research industry . Compensation
To comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $ 150,000-250,000 . Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.

Your Impact
- Client Engagement & Solution Design
- Serve as the analytical and methodological expert in collaborating with clients and NRG research teams to understand their business challenges, objectives , and data needs, translating them into tailored analytics solutions with rigor and sophistication.
- Lead and defend recommendation on selecting the relevant advanced analytical techniques and approaches which include but not limited to: sampling methods, market sizing, predictive modeling, segmentation, discrete choice modeling, Bayesian network analysis, SEM, etc.
- Oversee the design and communication of sampling strategies, questionnaire/data inputs, weighting/data treatments and implementation of advanced analytical approaches with special consideration for a global context.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on data integration with well established knowledge of survey data formats, client side first party data and third party data sources related to transactions, behavioral data.
- Drive the interpretation of analytical results and ensure actionability in close collaboration with clients and NRG research teams .
- Translate complex methodological concepts into accessible language for clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their research needs and recommend appropriate methodological approaches.
- Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop and implement a comprehensive analytics strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives and in the context of rising influences of AI .
- Identify and integrate innovative analytical methodologies, machine learning models, and data science techniques to advance the firm’s offerings.
- Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert, influencing the company’s market positioning and industry recognition in advanced analytics.
- Innovation & Capability Development
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science, artificial intelligence, and quantitative research methods.
- Evaluate, select, and implement cutting-edge tools and platforms to enhance analytics capabilities and improve efficiency.
- Quality Control & Methodological Rigor
- Establish standardized processes, frameworks, and quality controls to ensure analytical outputs meet the highest standards of methodological rigor, reliability, and relevance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal teams—such as product development, research operations, client services, and marketing—to align analytics initiatives with overall company goals.
- Team Management & Development
- Mentor and guide a multidisciplinary team of analytics professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Experience : We’d love for you to have 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in advanced analytics, data science or quantitative research roles, ideally within the market research or consulting industry . Demonstrated track record of employing advanced analytical techniques and delivering high-impact insights to clients .
- Your degree : Ideally looking for a Masters or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, D ata S cience, M athematics, C omputer S cience or a related field .
- Technical Sk ills : You bring a deep expertise in sampling methods, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, segmentation, discrete choice modeling, time series analysis, Bayesian Network analysis, etc. Proficiency with analytical software such as Q, SPSS, Python, SAS, etc. Even better if you have some knowledge and skills in machine learning .
- Leadership – You have a well-developed leadership acumen and can lead and develop a team. You are a strong collaborator and can partner effectively with leaders across the business to develop and deliver optimal insights for our clients.
- Executive presence – Experience in handling complex client issues, providing well-informed strategic counsel , at times under tight time pressure.
- Passion – An enthusiasm for research, data driven approaches, and strategic thinking . You live and breathe all things analytics and enjoy staying up to date on industry trends and developments. Small talking or deep diving on these topics fuels you.
- Strong Business Acumen : You are able to translate data-driven insights into actionable business recommendations that address client challenges and contribute to revenue growth. You balance the flexibility to devise and advise on the implementation of methodologies along with real world constraints, while also upholding rigor .
